Every clip, on a drive that arrives in the mail.

The film is what you'll watch. This is everything the film was cut from — every clip your guests shot, sorted by camera, on a 1TB drive. Nothing to download, no link to expire, nothing to remember to do.

  • 1TB drive
  • 4K originals

What's on it

The originals, untouched

Not exports, not compressed copies. The files exactly as the cameras wrote them, in folders you can open on any computer.

  • Every clip from every camera, in folders named for the camera it came from
  • Original 4K files at full bitrate — the same files our editors worked from
  • Clips keep their capture timestamps, so they sort into the order the night happened
  • The wireless mic recordings as separate audio, useful if you ever recut the speeches
  • Your finished film alongside it, in 4K and 1080p, plus the vertical cut if your kit includes one
  • A plain index file listing what's in each folder and how long it runs
Why a drive

Because a 300GB download is not a gift

We sold this as a download link for a while. It's the wrong shape for the thing being delivered.

  • The sizeFour cameras across a long event runs 150–400GB. Over home wifi that's most of a day, and it fails halfway more often than it finishes
  • The roomMost laptops ship with a 256GB SSD. There is nowhere to put this. People click the link, discover that, and never come back
  • The deadlineAny download link has an expiry. That turns your archive into a chore with a due date attached to it
  • The objectA drive in a drawer still works in fifteen years. A link in an old inbox does not
Straight answer on price: $195 is not the cost of a blank drive and we're not going to pretend it is. It's the drive, the transfer, the sorting and labeling by camera, the audio pulled out separately, and shipping it to you insured. One price, the same for every kit size — we don't charge more because your guests filmed more.
Specifications

The drive itself

Capacity
1TB. Comfortably more than any kit we ship produces, including four cameras across a full weekend.
Connection
USB-C, with a USB-A cable in the box. Works on a Mac, a PC, and most smart TVs. No power adapter, no driver, no software.
Format
exFAT. The one format both Mac and Windows read and write without being asked twice.
Video files
MP4, H.265 — the camera's own files, unaltered. Your finished film is also included as standard H.264 MP4, which plays on anything.
Ships
With your film, or shortly after. The download link for the film still arrives by email on the normal schedule — you don't wait for the post to see it.
Shipping
Free, tracked, US addresses. Included in the $195. Plain packaging, same as the kit.
Warranty
If it arrives dead, we ship another. Tell us within 30 days and we'll replace it from our copy at no cost.
Our copy

How long we keep your files

  • Twelve monthsWe hold your raw footage for twelve months after delivery, then destroy it
  • OfflineOn drives in our studio, powered off. Not in a cloud account, not on a server anyone can reach from the internet
  • Why it existsSo a lost or dead drive is a replacement, not a disaster. It's a safety net for us to fix things with — not your archive
  • Our copyAsk and we destroy it as soon as your film and drive are delivered. You keep the only one
Why not ten years: a decade of storage is a promise about our company still existing, not about hard drives. We won't make one we can't keep. Twelve months is long enough to cover a dead drive, a house move and the first anniversary — after that, the copy that matters is the one in your drawer.
Worth asking

Before you add it

Do I need this if I already have the film?

Most people don't. The film is the thing you'll actually watch, and it's finished. Add the drive if you want the unedited version — the whole toast rather than the twenty seconds of it, the conversations nobody was performing for, the material for a longer cut years from now.

Can I add it after I've booked?

Any time before we finish your edit. Email us or reply to any message we've sent you. After that we can still do it while your files are inside the twelve-month window, just tell us.

Can I get it as a download instead?

We'll send a link on request rather than argue about it — but read the section above first. For a two-camera kit it's usually fine. For four cameras it's a bad afternoon.

Is the footage edited or cleaned up at all?

No. That's the point. Shaky clips, false starts, thirty seconds of someone's pocket — it's all there, exactly as recorded.

Who owns what's on it?

You do, completely. We ask separately whether we can show a clip publicly, and the answer defaults to no.

Can you ship it somewhere other than my home?

Yes. Tell us the address any time before it goes out. US addresses only.
