You'll be busy saying hello. Let them film it
The person the shower is for spends the whole afternoon being hugged, handed things and photographed. Hand out a few cameras and you get the room back — the advice, the side conversations, the aunt who flew in.

The person it's for won't get to sit down
Nobody hires a crew for a Saturday afternoon, so nothing gets filmed at all — and the person the shower is for spends two hours being hugged, handed things and pulled into photographs. Everything she misses is happening in the kitchen and out on the porch.
Who should hold a camera: Give one to whoever organised the thing and one to somebody from the other side of the family. Those two see completely different afternoons. If you take a third, put it on the tabletop tripod in a quiet corner and let people record messages to the baby.
Start a baby shower order- Both grandmothers-to-be, meeting in the kitchen
- Advice being given, some of it useful
- The gift table before anyone touches it
- The friend who flew in and didn't say she was coming
- The hand on the bump, about forty separate times
Your guests get a plan, not a lecture
Every baby shower kit ships with table cards that explain the camera in one sentence and name six things worth pointing it at. A shower is two hours of small conversations rather than a programme, so the list is about people to follow, not moments to wait for.
Two hours of small conversations, one film
The advice, the grandmothers meeting in the kitchen, the messages recorded to somebody who isn't here yet. It all comes back to us and our editors keep the part of the afternoon she was too busy to see.
I spent the whole afternoon opening things and thanking people. The film is the first time I saw my mother and his mother talking in the kitchen. We'll show her that when she's old enough to care.

Priced by cameras, not hours. Most baby showers book two — thirty people in a house or a private room. Four is for a hall, or an afternoon split between a kitchen and a yard. Already have your own footage? We just edit that.

Baby Shower specifics
Can guests record a message to the baby?
It's the most requested thing on this page. Put one camera on the tabletop tripod in a quiet corner with a card next to it and people will talk to it all afternoon. Tell us at checkout and we'll cut those into their own section at the end of the film.
Two hours in a house with thirty people. Is that enough to cut a film from?
Yes, and two cameras is the right size for it. A shower is dense with conversation rather than spread across a venue, so the footage comes back concentrated. Four cameras is for a hall, or an afternoon split between a kitchen and a garden where one camera can't see the other half of it.
She'll be opening gifts for an hour. Is that the film?
Only a little of it. Gift opening is the most photographed and least interesting hour of a shower — the same shot, forty times. The shot list points cameras at the kitchen, the porch and the table instead, which is where the advice and the actual conversations are happening.
Nobody wants to be the person filming.
Nobody has to be. The cameras sit out on the table with a card next to them and people pick one up for a minute when something's happening, then put it down. There's no camera person at a shower — that's the difference between this and hiring somebody for a Saturday afternoon.
She's due six weeks after the shower. Will the film arrive first?
On the two-camera kit the edit is four weeks from when the case reaches us, so it's close but it usually lands. If the date is tight, add the rush edit at checkout and tell us the due date in your notes and we'll work to it.

Two minutes now, a box at your door five days before the shower, a film a few weeks later. The box is plain on the outside with no branding, which matters if she doesn't know it's happening.
